Jim Gaffigan finally must be fed up with the Morrison Center’s no-food-in-the-auditorium policy.
After visiting the performing-arts center in 2008 and 2014, the Hot Pockets-obsessed comedian will jump ship for a stand-up concert at nearby Taco Bell Arena on Sunday, Dec. 11.
(“Mmmm — Taco Bell,” I imagine Gaffigan musing.)
Actually, the change of venue is probably because Gaffigan — known for transforming bits about McDonald’s and bacon into comedy gold — sold out both his 2014 shows in the 2,000-seat Morrison Center in advance.

Taco Bell Arena provides considerably more space. Not to mention concessions options.
A regular on late-night TV, Gaffigan is the author of The New York Times best seller “Dad is Fat” and “Food: A Love Story.” He’s also the star of “The Jim Gaffigan Show” on TV Land, although he recently ended that series. You might also recognize him as the latest Colonel Sanders.
Gaffigan will visit Boise on his “Fully Dressed” tour.
“I’m so thrilled to be eating my way across America again,” Gaffigan said in a press release. “Oh, wait, I’m doing shows too?”
Tickets to the 7 p.m. show go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, for $39.75 and $59.75 at Ticketmaster.
