Treasure Valley book events includes story times

Story times: The Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Garden City, Kuna, Ada, Caldwell and Nampa public libraries offer story programs for children of all ages. Go to their websites and click on the calendar to check out the offerings.

Coffee and a Classic Book Club: 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, Meridian Library, 1326 W. Cherry Lane. “Middlesex” by Jeffrey Eugenides.

Tween Creative Writing Club: 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, Meridian Library at Cherry Lane. Aspiring writers between ages 9 and 12 will work on writing projects, learn writing techniques and read and critique each other’s work in a safe and supportive environment.

Writers Bloc: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, Meridian Library at Cherry Lane. Come join a group of fellow writers to collaborate, critique and create together. Work on what it means to be writers in the Treasure Valley.

Poetry Slam: 8-9 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, Meridian Library Silverstone branch, 3531 E. Overland Road. Join us for this month’s installment of the Storytime Library Edition Slam. Sign-ups at 7:30, slam starts at 8.

Graphic Novel Book Club: 5:30-6 p.m. Thursday, July 14, Meridian LIbrary at Cherry Lane. “Fairy Tail” by Hiro Mashima.

Inspirational Book Club: 10:30-11:30 a.m. Friday, July 15, Meridian Library at Cherry Lane. “Three Cups of Tea” by Greg Mortensen. Copies available at the Cherry Lane branch.

Teen Burgers and Books: 4:30-5:30 p.m. Friday, July 15, Meridian Library at Cherry Lane. “The Darkest Part of the Forest” by Holly Black.

D.L. Robinson author visit: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 16, The Rediscovered Bookshop, 180 N. 8th St., Boise. Book signing with D.L. Robinson, local author of “Storm Front.”
