Good Neighbor Day at the Library: Tuesday, Sept. 29, 6 p.m., Boise Public Library, Hillcrest branch. Drop in the library for a fun night of food and music in celebration of the city of Boise’s Good Neighbor Initiative. Come to relax, mingle with your neighbors and enjoy light snacks and refreshments while listening to the Boise Cello Collective. We’ll also offer complimentary coffee throughout the day to show our appreciation for our neighbors.
Book Club for Adults: Wednesday, Sept. 30, 7 p.m., Boise Public Library, Hillcrest branch. A monthly book club for adults. Participants choose a new book each month and meet for lively discussion. All titles are made available for check-out at the Hillcrest branch. This month’s selection is “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks” by Rebecca Skloot.
I’m with the Banned: Wednesday, Sept. 30, 7 p.m., Boise Public Library, Cole branch. Banned Books Week is Sept. 27-Oct. 3. Join one of the Cole branch’s librarians to explore the history of banned books and why certain books get continually banned. Adults only, please. Light refreshments will be served.
