Reading Rocketeers (grades K-5): Monday, Sept. 21, 4:30 p.m. Meridian Library, Cherry Lane (every third Monday). Explore the world of books in unique ways. We will feature various authors and read snippets from selected books together, followed by a fun interactive activity. Scheduled for September are authors Jane O’Connor and her Fancy Nancy series as well as Mike Thayer and his Black Lagoon series.

Adult Book Club: “All the Light We Cannot See” by Anthony Doerr, Tuesday, Sept. 22, 7 p.m., Boise Public Library, Collister branch. From this highly acclaimed, multiple-award-winning author is a stunningly ambitious and beautiful novel about a blind French girl and a German boy whose paths collide in occupied France as both try to survive the devastation of World War II.
