Art Zone 208, an artists collective on the Boise Bench, is hosting “Palette of Hope: a Benefit for the Women’s and Children’s Alliance,” with an exhibit that will run Thursday, Sept. 15, to Saturday, Oct. 1.
The opening reception from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, will feature a live and silent auction, raffle, music from the Divas of Boise and others, food and wine. Each artist will receive one ticket. Additional tickets are $10 at the door.
Also, 30 percent of art sales will benefit the WCA.
The call: Organizers are seeking artwork that depicts the themes of “hope” from artists working in media such as painting, sculpture, ceramics, glass, mosaic, mixed media and photography. Jurors are artists Julie Clemons and Zella Bardsley. Awards will be given for Best in Show, second and third place.

Entry fee: $20 for up to three submissions. Pick up an application at Art Zone 208 or the WCA, 720 W. Washington St., Boise, or email Bardsley at email@example.com.
Deadline, Sept. 1: Application and jury fee due.
