Leave the kids at home and head out for some entertainment.

▪  If you’ve forgotten how to be a kid, then the Discovery Center of Idaho’s Adult Night is just the ticket for you. From 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, July 22, you’ll find live music, Powderhaus Brewing and Boise Fry Company. Play around with “Zap! The Current Exhibition” and the revived DCI classics exhibits, such as the bubble wall and tornado machine. $10 online, $12 at the door.

▪  Story Story Night ramps up with a Late-Night Edition, where featured storytellers tell it like it is — no holds barred. This time it’s “Paper: Stories of Pulp, Paydays & Pulling One Over” at 8 p.m. Monday, July 25, at the Visual Arts Collective, 3638 Osage St., Garden City. Then you get your chance at the open story slam and spontaneous ro-sham-bo (rock, paper, scissors) battles. $12 at StoryStoryNight.org and the door.
