Updating my earlier post with a video of LED’s performance:

In case you went to the LED show on Thursday, March 24, and couldn’t see the stage — which was probably most of you — here’s a video of some highlights. The lighting was a challenge, but you’ll get the idea.  Check out the cool and creepy circus makeup from makeup artist Danyale Cook.

Original post:

Choreographer Lauren Edson and composer Andrew Stensaas found inspiration for their next collaborative venture in a romantic tale of the founding of Zoo Boise. Expect wild costumes and makeup, and some seriously rich movement and music.

The first iteration will premiere at Treefort Music Fest, with a strong cast of dancers that includes Edson, former Trey McIntyre Project dancers John Michael Schert, Brett Perry and Garrett Anderson, LED’s Sayoko Knode and Jessica Liu, Idaho Dance Theatre’s Evan Stevens and Yurek Hansen. Plus musicians Stensaas, Ryan Peck, Michael Mitchell, Chris Norred, Angel Abaya and others.

Watch Kyle Morck’s video for LED’s “This Way to the Egress.”

‘This Way to the Egress’

10:30 p.m. at the Rose Room, 718 W. Idaho St. Treefort pass or ticket required.
