Artistic director John Clayton welcomes students from around the country for the University of Idaho Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival. The event includes four days of workshops, clinics and performances with renowned musicians, including Tower of Power, vocalist Dee Daniels, pianist Monty Alexander and the genre-hopping Cherry Poppin’ Daddies with their musical tribute to the Rat Pack.
