Boise filmmaker wins Sun Valley Film Festival screenwriting award

Boise filmmaker Christian Lybrook is having a great run at the Sun Valley Film Festival.

He won the Festival’s One Potato Award, a prize for best short screenplay on March 6. With the award Lybrook will receive $2,500 and access to seasoned film-making mentors from directors to distributors in order to make a film in Idaho.

Lybrook and his film-making partner Gregory Bayne are in Sun Valley to premiere their web series “Zero Point” at a sold-out screening March 7.

The series has a great buzz for its eerie, dark style and intriguing episodic plot.
