Idaho Commission on the Arts announces its 2015 statewide grants

This year’s ICA awarded grants to schools, communities and arts and cultural organizations across the state totaling $502,575, from both state and federal funds. The awards help create public art and community access to 84 projects in 23 Idaho communities, and include the five visual arts fellowships that were announced June 9.


Arts Education Grants:

$9,176 for The Cabin’s Writers in the Schools

$8,735 for the Idaho Parents Unlimited’s Creative Access Artist in Residence program for children with disabilities

$8,652 for Idaho Shakespeare Festival’s Idaho Theater for Youth for grades K-6, and Shakespearience for grades 7-12

$7,699 for Boise Art Museum’s Free School Tour Program

$6,967 for the Boise Contemporary Theater’s Theater Lab, an after-school program for youths aged 6-18

$6,420 for the Stay-in-School Quinceanera Program Organization for eighth-grade boys and girls

$5,721 for Friends of Harriman State Park’s Writers at Harriman program

$5,082 for Ballet Idaho’s Learning Through Dance; Youth Ensemble; Ballet Idaho Academy
