‘Clay & Fire’: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, to Monday, Dec. 12, Visual Arts Center Gallery 1, Boise State University, Liberal Arts Building, 1910 University Drive. Free.
You’ll find hundreds of original ceramic pieces just perfect for gift-giving at the annual “Clay and Fire” sale by the Boise State ceramic art department.
The hand-built and thrown pieces are both decorative and functional. It’s the perfect way to find a one-of-a-kind gift this season for someone on your list — or for yourself.
The work are pieces done by student, alumni and faculty, including award-winning ceramicist and BSU professor Jim Budde, whose “Liberty” is pictured.

Proceeds benefit the department’s Visiting Artists in Program, which recently brought California ceramic sculptor John Toki to work with BSU students and interact with the community.
