Individual tickets for the touring production of “Beautiful — The Carole King Musical” go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at the Morrison Center box office. Tickets run $40 to $80 at MorrisonCenter.com or by calling 426-1110.

The show features the songs and biography of singer and songwriter Carole King, who calls Idaho home. This production features Abby Mueller as King. She’s the sister of Tony winner Jessie Mueller, who originated the role on Broadway.

The show chronicles King’s rise in the record business as a teenager and young woman as well as her marriage to Gerry Goffin. Together, they became a hit-writing machine for the biggest acts in rock ‘n’ roll. But it wasn’t until her personal life fell apart that King found her true voice that gave rise to her breakthrough “Tapestry” album.

“Beautiful — The Carole King Musical”: 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29-Thursday, Dec. 1; 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2; 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3.
