The Meridian Symphony heads to Kleiner Park for a concert al fresco

Symphony in the Park

Enjoy a concert in Julius M. Kleiner Park this weekend with “Music in the Park,” a celebration of Gene Kleiner Day. Each year the city honors Gene Kleiner on the second Saturday in June. He donated the land for the park that is dedicated to his father. Bring a picnic, a low-back chair or blanket and relax as the Meridian Symphony plays Gershwin, Tchaikovsky and Ellington.

7 to 8:30 p.m. June 13, Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park, 1900 N. Records Ave., Meridian. Free.
