Got a screw loose? That’s better than a loose spoke — at least at Tour de Fat, the annual festival that mixes old-fashioned lunacy with bikes, New Belgium beer and live music. The family-friendly party starts with a bike parade at 11 a.m. (10 a.m. registration), then a fashion showdown (noon), music from Ssssnake! (12:30 p.m.), the Slow Ride competition (1:20 p.m.), music from MarchFourth! (1:40 p.m.), The Bike is Right! game show to win a bike (2:40 p.m.), a car-for-bike swap (3:30 p.m.), then music from Los Amigos Invisibles (3:40 p.m.). It’s free to attend this benefit for local bicycle advocacy groups, but donations are appreciated. Beers will set you back $5.

10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, Ann Morrison Park, 1000 N. Americana Blvd., Boise. newbelgium.com. Free.
