Some of the Valley’s best chefs gather at the Culinary Walkabout

Food is a great reason to gather and do something good. At the Culinary Walkabout you can sample bites from some of the best restaurants in the area, and raise funds for Metro Meals on Wheels, which serves more than 800 meals daily to area seniors and home-bound individuals. More than 20 Treasure Valley restaurants, including Bardenay, The Brickyard, Leslie Charles Events, Reel Foods and — new this year — the Boise Co-op and Kona Grill will tempt and delight your taste buds as you wander the event, vote for your favorite dish, and bid in silent and live auctions. Boise Straight Ahead Big Band and the Prime Time Swingers will entertain.

6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, Boise Centre, 850 W. Front St. $55. 321-0030, MetroMealsOnWheels.net.
