Comedian Bob Zany reports back to Boise

August 14, 2015 12:00 AM

Bob Zany hasn’t performed in Boise for ages. “It has been seven years,” he admits. “Though I’m the king of Jackpot.” Even if Zany spends more time in Nevada than Idaho, the veteran comic never really leaves us in spirit. Listeners of the syndicated “Bob and Tom Show” get to hear him deliver his “Zany Report” monthly. Zany, 53, is a wry comedian with a unique ability to exude gut-busting humor while maintaining a perpetually semi-disgusted look on his face. The photographer must have bribed him to smile.

8 p.m. Aug. 20-23, also 10 p.m. Aug. 21 and 22, Liquid Laughs, 405 S. 9th St., Boise. $15-$17.50. liquidboise.com.
