Head to Boise’s Julia Davis Park on June 27 for music, community and fun with pets

Julia Davis Park will host two events Saturday:

•  The fifth annual Community Progressive celebrates what it takes to build community. More than 30 nonprofits, including the Boise International Market, United Vision for Idaho and the Idaho Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence will share what they do. You’ll find food trucks and two music stages from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

•  Help support the Boise Police Department’s K-9 Unit at Pet-a-Palooza

from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. behind Zoo Boise. You’ll find K-9 demonstrations, pet adoptions, games, vendors and live music from Todd Dunnigan. And you can bring your well-behaved pets on leashes.
