A 31-year-old Meridian man is charged with felony DUI after a home and several vehicles had more than $85,000 in damage after he lost control of his car Sunday night.
Jeffery Kirk Lamm also is charged with misdemeanor counts of driving without privileges and failure to have insurance.
Meridian police say Lamm was driving in the 2200 block of West Sunny Slope Drive around 10:40 p.m. Sunday when he lost control of the car while going around a curve.
The car hit a house, then smashed into three vehicles in the driveway - a pickup, SUV and stock car - causing damage to everything, according to police. No one inside the home was hurt.
Witnesses said the driver, later identified as Lamm, ran away. Police said they found him about a block away, where they arrested him without incident, according to reports. Lamm failed field sobriety tests and a breath test indicated he was over the legal limit of .08, Meridian police Lt. Bob Stowe said.
