The two Canyon County programs resume their men's basketball rivalry at the J.A. Albertson Activities Center in Caldwell. Tip-off is 7:05 p.m. The game has been played recently at the Idaho Center in Nampa, but is moving back to campus sites for a home-and-home series. Northwest Nazarene hosts the Dec. 8 game. The series started in 1933, and the College of Idaho holds a 111-72 lead. This is a regulation game for the College of Idaho, an NAIA program, and it's the final of three exhibitions for NNU, an NCAA Division II program. New College of Idaho player Matt Ballenger, a transfer from the Colorado football program, will face NNU's Louie Beech for the first time on a college basketball court. They were teammates at Skyview High in Nampa and won 4A state championships in 2005 and 2006. The price range for tickets is $12 to $5, and they are available through the C of I (459-5835) and NNU (467-8876).

College of Idaho cross country: Both teams will compete at NAIA nationals, which are Nov. 21 in Vancouver, Wash. The women, who earned an automatic berth with the conference title, remained at No. 6 in the national rankings, while the men will earned an at-large berth after climbing three spots to No. 8.

NNU women's basketball: Trailing 44-38 at halftime on the road, the Crusaders battled back to earn an 83-80 exhibition win against Division I Weber State.
