Senior Derisa Taleni will miss the upcoming season with a knee injury she sustained during a Vandal practice earlier this week. Taleni was the WAC newcomer of the year last season and a preseason second team All-WAC pick this year. She will redshirt and return to Idaho in 2010-11.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE WOMEN'S SOCCER: Rachelle Kliewer scored in the 79th minute to give Western Oregon a 1-0 GNAC win over the Crusaders (3-10-3, 1-8) in Nampa.

IDAHO VOLLEYBALL: The Vandals (12-12, 8-3) moved into a tie for second place in the WAC with a 25-21, 21-25, 25-23 and 31-29 victory over New Mexico State (13-8, 8-3).

IDAHO STATE MEN'S BASKETBALL: Broderick Gilchrest had 21 points and four assists as the Black team defeated the Orange 68-47 in an intersquad scrimmage. Phil Taylor had 23 for the Orange team.
