The 75th annual Caldwell Night Rodeo continues Friday and Saturday nights at the CNR grounds. Saturday is the championship round.
THURSDAY HIGHLIGHT
The No. 1 team roping duo in the nation, Chad Masters of Tennessee ($107,883 earned this season) and Jade Corkill of Nevada ($98,411), had a combined time of 6.5 seconds to give them an overall time of 12.1 seconds. Heading into Saturday, they are third overall.

Thursday: Had the best time of the night (17.55 seconds) to put her in the top 10 heading into Saturday night's championship round. "My horse, she just tried really hard. I wasn't 100 percent pleased with her ... but it was good."
Background: Has been riding horses for about 20 years. "I always wanted a horse, but was raised around motorcycles. So when I finally got one, I took off."
Why Caldwell? "I love this rodeo and haven't been here in years. The crowd is amazing."
TONIGHT & TICKETS
® Gates open at 6 p.m., followed by the Caldwell Night Junior Rodeo at 6:45 and junior steer riding at 7:15. Rodeo action starts at 8.
® Tickets cost $20 (adults) and $8 (12 and younger). They are available at idahotickets.com or at the door as long as they are available.
® Top local bull rider Marcus Michaelis of Caldwell is not competing in the CNR (doctor's release), but his brother, Mason, is scheduled to appear Friday.
® There is a dance Friday and Saturday nights after the rodeo ends. It's at O'Connor Field House (next to the CNR grounds).
