Shooting Stars Basketball: Program for boys and girls in kindergarten and first grades is designed to provide a fun, challenging sports experience that emphasizes learning skills and sports values rather than pure competition. Each team has one 45-minute practice per week at the Nampa Rec Center. Practices are held during the evenings and games are played on Saturday mornings at the NRC. Snake River Sabercats: Semi-professional team of the Rocky Mountain Football league is gearing up for the 2010 season. A mandatory meeting is at 11 a.m. Aug. 22 at Caldwell High, between the football field and the tennis courts. A practice will follow the meeting.
