Four athletes with Idaho ties will compete for titles and a trip to the world championships on the final day of the USA Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Ore., on Sunday.
Bishop Kelly High graduate Nick Symmonds competes in the 800 final at 2:53 p.m. MDT. He won his semifinal race in 1 minute, 47.5 seconds.
Idaho State alum Stacy Dragila and Idaho alum Melinda Owen are in the pole vault final (12:30 p.m.). Former Idaho thrower Russ Winger is in the shot put finals (1:35 p.m.).
The top three finishers in each event qualify for the world championships, which will be held Aug. 15-23 in Berlin.
Two athletes with Idaho ties competed Saturday. Former Boise State jumper Ryan Grinnell finished 23rd in the long jump and Idaho State assistant coach Paul Litchfield did not register a height in the pole vault.
