Idaho and Boise State track and field athletes honored by ESPN

Bronco senior Simon Wardhaugh and six Vandal track and field athletes were named to ESPN The Magazine's Track/Cross Country District 8 All-Academic Team on Thursday. Wardhaugh, who has the sixth-best hammer throw in the country at 224 feet, was joined on the first team by Idaho senior Allix Lee-Painter (3,000 meters), junior Jonathan Marler (high jump) and sophomore Paul Dittmer (hurdles). Idaho seniors K.C. Dahlgren (pole vault) and Christie Gordon (hurdles) and junior Adam Leschber (hurdles) were named to the second team.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE TRACK AND FIELD: All-American Ashley Puga was named the Great Northwest Athletic Conference female athlete of the year Thursday. The two-time national champion is the most decorated track and field athlete in Crusader history.
