The Broncos swept Nevada 4-0 in the WAC Tournament in Honolulu. They won the doubles point and picked up singles wins from Lauren Megale, Vivien Silfany and Laura Baum. Boise State will play the winner of Fresno State-Hawaii on Saturday.
BOISE STATE TRACK AND FIELD: ÊÊKayleen McDowell (women's 800 meters) and Eetu Viitala (men's long jump) came away with first-place finishes and NCAA regional qualifying marks, and Danielle Valentine won the women's pole vault at the Robinson Invitational in Provo, Utah.
BOISE STATE WOMEN'S TENNIS: The Broncos advanced to WAC tournament final with a 4-0 sweep of Nevada in Honolulu. They will play the winner of Fresno State-Hawaii on Saturday.
LEWIS-CLARK STATE BASEBALL: The Warriors split a doubleheader with Concordia, winning the first game 5-4 and losing the nightcap 1-0.
COLLEGE OF IDAHO BASEBALL: The Coyotes ended a five-game losing streak by sweeping Corban in a doubleheader, 7-3 and 6-3.
COLLEGE OF IDAHO SOFTBALL: Jody Zillner tossed a two-hitter in the opener, and Brooke Judy pitched an eight-hit shutout in the nightcap as the Coyotes extended their lead in the Cascade Conference to two games with 6-1 and 6-0 wins over Corban.
NORTHWEST NAZARENE SOFTBALL: Montana State Billings swept a GNAC doubleheader from the Crusaders, winning the opener 7-0 and taking the nightcap 10-8 in Nampa.
