Kolby Lee, Rocky Mountain: The 6-foot-8 sophomore forward poured in 12 points and snatched eight rebounds to lead the Grizzlies to a 65-43 victory over Nampa in the 5A District Three semifinals. The win guarantees Rocky Mountain a berth in the state tournament for the third year in a row and a rematch with Capital in the district title game Friday at Capital High.
Bryce Fogleman, Nampa: The senior 113-pounder was the only individual champion for Nampa at the District Three tournament, leading the Bulldogs to the tournament title in their first year back in the 5A classification. Fogleman (46-3) pinned four of the five opponents he faced in the district tournament to earn the top seed at this weekend’s state tournament.
