Issy Hadden, Boise: The Braves rebounded from a 33-30 loss to Nampa on Thursday with a 62-44 victory over Centennial on Saturday to move into third place in the 5A Southern Idaho Conference standings with six games left in the regular season. Hadden, a 6-foot-2 junior forward, had 14 points, eight rebounds and five blocked shots against Nampa, and she then had 23 points, seven rebounds and three blocked shots against Centennial while shooting 7-for-10 from the field and 9-of-12 from the free-throw line.
Zane Allen, Payette: The Pirates improved to 11-1 overall with two victories last week in nonconference play. Allen, a senior point guard, set a school record in a 57-35 win over New Plymouth with eight made 3-pointers, finishing with 29 points, seven assists, five rebounds and one steal. Allen contributed 25 points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals to defeat Marsing 47-38.
Tanner Hughes, Columbia: The Wildcats lost in the third-place match at the River City Duals over the weekend, bringing home the best finish among Treasure Valley squads. Hughes, a sophomore at 145 pounds, went 5-0 in duals with four pins and one technical fall despite coming off a severe knee injury.
