Smoke blanketing the Treasure Valley on Tuesday wreaked havoc with the high school district soccer tournaments for the second straight day.
After a red air quality alert pushed Monday’s games back to Tuesday, smoky conditions wiped out all of Tuesday’s district soccer schedule, except for the 3A District Three girls tournament in Weiser, where the host Wolverines beat defending champion McCall-Donnelly 10-0.
The 5A boys and girls tournaments head to Vallivue High on Wednesday to play all of their semifinal games, as well as the first round of the loser’s bracket. Semifinals for both boys and girls kick off at 4:45 p.m.
The 5A girls district championship is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday at East Junior High in Boise. The boys tournament has not been scheduled past Wednesday as of 3 p.m.
The 4A tournaments continue as planned Wednesday with games at the same locations and times. The 4A championships are now scheduled for 5 p.m. Friday with the higher seed hosting.
The 3A boys tournament will continue with its original schedule Wednesday at Emmett.
