Rocky Mountain at Timberline (DLP)
Timberline takes on Rocky for the second year in a row with a program first under its belt. Last year, the Wolves were 4-0 for the first time before a 36-16 loss at Rocky. This year, Timberline is 5-0 and a win would give it the inside lane on a pod title. Rocky enters on a three-game win streak and has beaten Timberline in five of seven meetings.
Boise at Meridian
A late field goal proved the difference last year as Meridian edged Boise 31-28. Meridian has won three of the past four meetings, but only one of those games has been decided by more than 10 points. Both teams lost their 5A SIC Pod B openers last week.
Mountain Home at Middleton
Middleton started slow with a pair of losses to Fruitland and Emmett, 3A powers. But the Vikings have righted the ship and their defense came through in a 22-21 win over Skyview to open the 4A SIC schedule. Mountain Home remains winless and is struggling on offense, averaging 6.8 points per game.
Emmett at Payette
By rolling Parma 49-18 last week, Emmett is off to its first 4-0 start since 2004. And three of those wins came over 4A opponents. Emmett routed Payette, which is on a six-game losing streak, 64-12 last year in the schools’ first meeting since 1997.
