Timberline made its way through the losers bracket back to the 5A District Three Tournament championship against Vallivue.
After sweeping Centennial in three games to start the day, the Wolves then had to defeat the Falcons twice to claim the title, winning 25-18, 25-21, 25-23 in the first match and 25-22, 25-22 in the winner-take-all final Thursday at Capital High.
“It was such a team effort,” Timberline coach Carol Klein said. “Every single player stepped up.”
Timberline, Vallivue, Centennial and Eagle all advance to the state tournament Oct. 30-31 in northern Idaho.
