Junior defensive back Nate Moore (Mountain View High) is the first football player in school history to land on an NAIA All-America team. The American Football Coaches’ Association selected him to the first team, announced Tuesday. Moore led the Frontier Conference with six regular-season interceptions and was third on the team with 71 tackles. Former C of I players Tom Winbigler (1948), Norm Hayes (1953) and R.C. Owens (1954) were honored as Associated Press first-team Little All-America recipients. Moore is the first to earn accolades from the AFCA and NAIA.
