Though Boise State’s basketball teams have been successful at home the past few seasons without it, Taco Bell Arena’s new addition will surely get the fans a little more excited.
The school sought, and received, approval to build a new $1.5 million video board at the arena in June. The new board’s screens will measure 8.1x14.3 feet, providing a much larger viewing area than the 6x8 board that had been in place since 2002.
On Friday, Boise State released photos of the board’s progress, reiterating it hopes to be completed by the first home game of the season. The men and women will have an exhibition doubleheader on Nov. 6 and both will play their first games in Taco Bell Arena on Nov. 16.
Like with the Albertsons Stadium board, Agribeef will have its name prominently featured, along with an Albertsons logo underneath.
