Allie Ostrander won her first race as a Bronco on Friday, leading Boise State over host San Francisco 21-36 at the Dual in Speedway Meadow. Ostrander completed the 6k course in 20 minutes, 44.4 seconds, followed by teammates Minttu Hukka (20:58.3) and Brenna Peloquin (21:00.4). The men beat the Dons 23-33 on the 8k course behind four top-five finishes, led by runner-up Michael Vennard (25:21.3). Boise State’s men and women also finished second at the Utah Open in Murray. Riley Campbell was second in the men’s race, running 6k in 19:26, and Charlotte Corless led the women with a third-place effort (15:18.4 over 4k).
BSU VOLLEYBALL: Sierra Nobley had a season-high 26 kills and a career-high 20 digs, and the Broncos (4-3) beat North Texas 19-25, 25-21, 25-19, 22-25, 15-10 at the North Texas Invitational in Denton for their third straight win. Maddi Osburn added 37 digs, the third most in program history.
BSU WOMEN’S SOCCER: Defender Hailey DeVries scored on a penalty kick with 22 seconds left in regulation, and the Broncos (1-3-2) drew 1-1 with Utah in Boise.
COLLEGE OF IDAHO MEN’S SOCCER: Joe Bolin led the Yotes (2-0, 1-0 Cascade Conference) to a 4-0 win over Southern Oregon in Caldwell with two goals and an assist in the first 35 minutes.
