Bobbi Oshiro and Nancy Menjivar won singles brackets, and Ari Paules Aldrey and Megan LaLone won the doubles championship at the four-team Jack Taylor Classic on Sunday. Oshiro beat Paules Aldrey in three sets to win the Blue Flight, and Menjivar defeated Lidia Dukic of Montana in three sets in the Orange Flight final. The doubles final was an all-BSU affair, as Paules Aldrey and LaLone beat Teal Vosburgh and Milena Toseva 6-3. The tournament also included players from Eastern Washington and Weber State.
BSU SOCCER: The Broncos (3-5-3, 1-1-0 Mountain West) lost to New Mexico 2-1 in Boise. Dani Brown scored a game-tying goal for Boise State in the 24th minute.
COLLEGE OF IDAHO: The Yotes (5-1, 4-1 Cascade) beat Multnomah 4-0 in Caldwell. Joao Cardoso (Bishop Kelly High) and Mehmed Selimovic (Mountain View High) each had a goal and an assist.
