The Broncos defeated Abilene Christian 25-10, 25-15, 25-20 at the North Texas Invitational on Saturday. Reece Carman had 11 kills for the Broncos (6-3). Earlier in the day, Boise State beat Houston 25-17, 25-11, 25-22, led by Sierra Nobley with 12 kills. With the two wins, the Broncos claimed the tournament title, and Nobley was named MVP.
BSU MEN’S GOLF: The Broncos are in 12th place following the first two rounds of the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational in Colorado Springs. Tristan Rohrbaugh is tied for 21st with a 1-over 145.
COLLEGE OF IDAHO VOLLEYBALL: The Coyotes (4-8, 2-2 CCC) fell to Corban 25-27, 25-23, 25-19, 25-16 in Salem, Ore.
C OF I/NNU CROSS COUNTRY: The Coyote men and women won the Chukar Classic in Weiser. The Crusader women took second, and the men finished third. The C of I claimed the top two individual awards with Max Hampton winning the men’s 6.4-kilometer race (21:10), and Amy Pfaff taking the women’s 5 kilometers (19:44). NNU’s Isaac Mitchell finished second (21:12), and Sierra Manzer took fourth (19:59).
NORTHWEST NAZARENE VOLLEYBALL: The Crusaders (3-5) defeated Fresno Pacific 25-12, 25-13, 25-18, before falling to Point Loma 25-13, 25-20, 25-18 at the Pac West/GNAC Crossover Tournament in Ellensburg, Wash.
NNU MEN’S SOCCER: The Crusaders (3-1) fell to Cal State Dominguez Hills 1-0 in Nampa.
NNU WOMEN’S SOCCER: The Crusaders (2-2) lost to Dominican 1-0 in San Rafael, Calif.
