The Caldwell Night Rodeo has always been a little bit different. It’s outdoors. At night. It loves to compete against the August football season. And the fans have names — the Rowdies sit on the east side of the arena in the sun (and next to the beer garden) and the Civies enjoy a quieter time with family in the shade.
The rest of the 81st annual CNR is all tradition, featuring the top professional cowboys and cowgirls in the world who are trying to qualify for the National Finals Rodeo in December.
Each night has a theme: Family Night (Tuesday and Wednesday), Man Up Crusade/domestic violence (Wednesday), Power of Pink Night/breast cancer awareness (Thursday) and Patriot Night/Military Relief Fund (Friday). The top scorers from this week return for Championship Saturday.
The CNR starts each night with a junior rodeo at 6:30, followed by the main rodeo at 8. Single adult ticket prices start at $15 (Tuesday through Thursday) and $22 (Friday and Saturday). Family Night details, special pricing information and ticket distribution sites are available at caldwellnightrodeo.com.
