As if Boise State football fans weren't excited enough for Brett Rypien's arrival, he showed some wheels Friday with some of his future coaches in attendance. Chadd Cripe wrote about it Monday. Cornerback commit Ladarryl Blair made an impact on offense, scoring three TDs, while one of Rypien's future targets, Akilian Butler, had perhaps his best game of the year.

Played offensive and defensive line in a 35-14 win over Weiser on Friday. The Grizzlies improved to 5-1.

— QB Brett Rypien, 6-2, 185, Shadle Park HS (Spokane, Wash.)
With Boise State coach Bryan Harsin and offensive coordinator Mike Sanford in attendance, Shadle Park lost a tough 43-34 matchup against Ferris on Friday. Rypien showed a little bit of something new, rushing for 145 yards and scoring a touchdown. He also completed 31-of-50 passes for 321 yards with four TDs and an interception. On the season in six games, he has thrown for 2,381 yards on 176-of-285 passing with 29 TDs and nine interceptions with 260 rushing yards. (NWPrepsNow.com)

In a close 26-22 loss to Davis, Stewart had a 12-yard rush, four catches for 69 yards, two punt returns for 38 yards and an interception on defense. (MaxPreps.com)

South Oak Cliff continues to roll, routing Samuell 59-0 on Friday — the Bears have won three straight by a combined 186-7. Blair had a big game in the win, scoring three touchdowns (a 15-yard run, a 40-yard reception and a 46-yard reception). He ran twice for 28 yards and grabbed four passes for 101 yards as South Oak Cliff improved to 3-3. (DallasNews.com)

Salesian took a 58-20 thumping at the hands of unbeaten Cathedral, but Wright ran for two touchdowns on 76 yards rushing. (LATimes.com)
