Often, in daily speech and activity, reference is made to prayer. Well, perhaps not in the usual sense, but as a wish for good luck or something to happen as we wish. For example, “pray for sunshine so we can go to the park tomorrow,” “I just pray I will pass the test” or “I pray I’m wrong.”
