This is in response to the June 1 letter to the editor that was critical of the Veterans Administration. I am a World War II-era veteran and have multiple health issues. I have received care through the Los Angeles VA and the Boise VA facilities. The care that I have received almost monthly has always been timely, adequate and many times exceptional, and I wish to thank all the doctors, nurses, physician assistants and staff who have always been courteous, helpful and most of the time cheerful. I can walk in anytime through the emergency rooms of both facilities and be taken care of immediately 24/7, and I have a number of times done so.
