I always thought that we as Republicans were for fewer government regulations. Yet, the Legislature and governor seem to feel that we cannot handle issues such as minimum wage and plastic bags on a local level. Instead of letting the people decide, mom and dad have taken those choices from us.
When you see so many elected Republicans who can’t trust the people to do what they feel is best, is it any wonder why our party is in such disarray this year? This legislative session is just a small symptom in a much larger national problem. Elected Republicans across the country are confused by how people are voting this year.
But the answer is simple. My Republican Party has become a hypocrisy of itself and won’t let the smaller governments govern themselves.
