I can’t tell you how thrilled I was to open my newspaper and see yet more propaganda from the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Family Foundation. As if the shameless television commercials depicting students being dumped off a school bus in the middle of nowhere aren’t bad enough, now we have Roger Quarles telling us that “The Albertson Family Foundation is a data-driven organization.” Wrong — the Albertson Foundation is an agenda-driven organization. If anyone thinks this “survey” commissioned by the Albertson Foundation is an impartial one, I have a wildlife refuge near Burns, Ore., that I am willing to sell at a below-invoice price. I hate to break this to Mr. Quarles, but the citizens of Idaho have already spoken loud and clear how they feel about public education. They did that when they trash-canned the absurd lunacy of the Luna Laws that Quarles’ organization shilled so heavily to enact into law. Here’s the Cliff Notes version of anything published by the Albertson Foundation: traditional public schools bad — charter schools good.
