Grace Jordan Elementary School had an amazing tribute to our veterans. First of all, someone had to teach each child the hymn for each branch of the service, which they all did a great job of singing. There was an overhead of photos of all the veterans who had children or were grandparents of the children attending the school. The national anthem and the flag salute were done by a Boy Scout troop; wishing I had the troop number but they also did an amazing job. Now remember, this is an elementary school. Each veteran’s name was called, and while they stood, a student brought them a card of appreciation for their service, which was made by the children. I know the two veterans in our family both stood proudly, as did all the others. What a great day. Thank you to Grace Jordan school.
