Recently I have read enough letters/opinions in the Statesman to have sympathy for Superintendent Linda Clark, who has given so much of her knowledge and abilities to the West Ada School District. It sounds to me like somebody might have her successor in mind.
Having had many years of experience at Boise State and other schools, I have witnessed critics appear and disappear. A few have succeeded in disrupting the institution, but most have quieted down and gone away.
In my opinion my children and grandchildren have been excellently educated in the West Ada district. Paraphrasing a familiar quotation, I encourage Clark by suggesting that we “damn the naysayers, full education ahead” when educating our young people.
