I have to agree with Mike Sleger (Aug. 22 letter) about people driving at whatever speed they choose. One of the craziest things I see are people barreling around me just to get to a red light. If you gauge it right you don’t have to wait long, if at all.
Fairview is like a racetrack. You never see a police car. We need the police out here on our busy streets. It might save lives.
Our registration went up because our money was used for a lawsuit that we had no say about, and now we pay more gas tax. Any way you look at it, it cost us twice as much to drive. There was no money left to fix the roads. Then we had to help the ranch buddies get away with cruelty to animals. That came back to bite us, then we took our good buddies on a trip. Boo.
Since we’re talking about our government problems, it seems that Sens. Mike Crapo and Jim Risch are joining the ranks against Planned Parenthood. Why don’t we just make it mandatory that men have to get a vasectomy? Women wouldn’t need as many benefits then. How does that grab ya?
