Thank you for printing the guest opinion of Ray Mabus, secretary of the Navy, on Friday, Aug. 21.
It prompted me to attend the naming ceremony of the USS Idaho, at the Western Idaho Fair on that Saturday, which was most interesting and informative, as his guest opinion was.
Secretary Ray Mabus, his staff and Congress have done a yeoman’s job of turning around the decline of our fleet size.
All speakers were well received, and it was an extra bonus to personally visit the speakers afterward.
Never miss a local story.
