A recent edition of the Idaho Statesman, in the Depth section, described a proposed tax levy of $2 a month for two years on homeowners. Also states a poll taken showed broad support for same. If that happened, let’s see some numbers.
Just for two years? Remember the sales tax of $.03 and just for schools? Within three months more money than was expected. They didn’t know what to spend it all on. The schools still need money (sales tax .06).
Social Security reported out of money in four more years, according to President Bush; after 9/11 found $6 billion surpluses in Social Security for different lies to spend it on.
Folks, you shouldn’t need a reminder of taxes and spending. You will be reminded after two years.
Never miss a local story.
