So instead of helping our schoolkids, improving our roads and getting Idahoans better jobs, the Idaho Legislature has decided to kick off its election year legislative session by attacking women’s health care?
Bring it on. I remember how outraged Idaho women were the last time a bunch of men decided to tell us what we could and couldn’t do with our bodies — mandating a vaginal ultrasound. Legislators had to back off from that one in a hurry.
Idaho women don’t need the permission of some man to tell us what we can do. We’ll be paying attention to which legislators sponsor and vote for misguided legislation like this. We’ll target them, put forth and support candidates to run against them, and we’ll vote.
A ticked-off woman never forgets.
Never miss a local story.
