I appreciate that we have a number of candidates for governor. Tommy Ahlquist has consistently said that he will eliminate $100 million of expenditures from the state of Idaho budget. However, he has never put out any meaningful information about how he will do this.
Having been an Idaho legislator many years ago, I do know that Idaho has always had a very conservative budget. There is no way that he can cut education, health care, roads, state of Idaho employees’ pay, prison facilities, etc.
Therefore, please tell all of us just where specifically you are going to make these cuts. It is so easy for any politician to make many wild claims, but we need complete answers now.
