At 6:08 p.m. Friday, Nampa police responded to reports of a shooting at a residence in the 100 block of Smith Avenue and found a 34-year-old Nampa man with a gunshot wound to the leg.
The victim was taken to a local hospital. Police are interviewing people of interest and developing suspect information. A witness and the victim are working with a police artist to render a sketch of the suspect that will be released soon.
No other information was available.
The investigation is continuing, but police do not believe the incident is gang related.
