Voters in the Meridian School District on Tuesday night voted in favor of a supplemental levy.
The final tally was 5,281 yes and 1,855 no, said school district spokesman Eric Exline.
That works out to be 73.99 percent voting yes, out of a total 7,137 votes, which is 9 percent of registered voters, Exline said.
Turnout was more than double the last supplemental levy election in 2007, which was both a supplemental and plant facility levy, Exline said.
